ABOUT JERSEY GIRL PUMPKINS

I've always loved the fall. Crunchy leaves under my feet and the scent of a wood-burning fireplace in the air—crisp and brisk and smoky. I love the promise of wool sweaters, leather boots and corduroy jackets, knit scarves and fur-lined gloves. 

It’s awesome to live in a place where the seasons change, and New Jersey has one of the best fireworks shows when it does. A burst of red and orange and yellow splashing across the landscape in a last hurrah before succumbing to the winter grays, and as your designated porch pumpkin professional, I couldn't be happier to bring some of that last bit of color to your doorstep.

I referred to this section as "we" because Jersey Girl Pumpkins is a family business. The picture above of my husband and sons is from a million years ago and is one of my favorites. Our boys are grown now, and they are essential to the success of this little venture (and for more than just their muscle!). No endeavor ever gets off the ground—much less thrives—without a support system, and I'm proud to have the three greatest guys around to support me with mine.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Yes, we offer pumpkin delivery and boutique design services, but we like to think we're bringing more than just fall decor to your doorstep. We're delivering beauty and whimsy and joy to our awesome customers, and in turn, our customers allow us to give back to the community. 

I have spent my life involved with various charity organizations. As a teen and into my twenties, I worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In my thirties, I founded a charity T-shirt company, and in my forties, I served as VP on the board of Zayna's Cares, a not-for-profit that raised funds for children battling life-threatening illnesses. Even my decorative painting business and author career regularly contributed goods or services for charity.

I don't write this to pat myself on the back. I write it to let you know that "working toward the greater good" has always been a top goal in any endeavor I've undertaken. For me, a job isn't worth doing unless it serves a higher purpose. Which is why the goal of Jersey Girl Pumpkins will always be to deliver top notch service to our customers. 

Because the more satisfied you are, the more you'll spread the word about us. The more you spread the word, the more jobs we'll book. The more jobs we book, the more we can contribute. I know from experience that every little bit makes a difference.
